Gas flow system using thermal transpiration

Yong-Kyu Yoon, Wenjing Ye, Mark G. Allen

A gas flow system driven by thermal loading has been investigated. This approach may be especially applicable for gas pumping and gas separation in micro- and nanosystems, since the requirement for relatively bulky pumps, typically required in conventional membrane filtration or gas chromatography, is eliminated.
